The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Keri Curtis Axel and Teresa Huggins to its “Women of Influence: Attorneys” list for 2026. Keri and Teresa were recognized for their legal achievements as well as their community leadership.
Keri is widely known for her tenacity in the courtroom, particularly in complex, high-stakes criminal and civil cases that concern novel legal issues and unprecedented factual scenarios. The national media regularly turns to her for comment on high-profile criminal prosecutions and SEC investigations, such as the Elizabeth Holmes Silicon Valley fraud trial. Keri is also a well-respected leader in her local community. Recently, she headed up the capital campaign for the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center, which had been destroyed in the Eaton Canyon Fire.
Teresa handles complex commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate level, with an emphasis on intellectual property, FinTech, and First Amendment matters. Outside of the office, she serves on the Board of Governors of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL) Los Angeles and on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southern California, a nonprofit that empowers by teaching financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness programs.
