Jose Nuño

Jose R. Nuño works primarily in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Financial Technology practice areas, and represents a wide range of clients including financial technology companies, Fortune 500 companies, high net-worth individuals, and pro-bono clients. Jose has extensive experience in federal and state litigation matters, including contract disputes, intellectual property matters, economic interference claims, trade libel disputes, and Securities Act and Exchange Act claims, and is experienced in all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation dispute resolution through trial. Jose has also represented governmental and public entities in mass tort litigation, complex insurance litigation, and administrative law matters, navigating sector specific issues such as the Federal Tort Claims Act, and California Tort Claims, Public Records, and Brown Acts.

Jose earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, where he was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. He earned a dual B.A. from USC in Political Science and American Studies & Ethnicity. During law school, Jose externed at the Federal Public Defender’s Office, LA County Public Defender’s Office, and the City Attorney’s Office, Criminal Division. Prior to law school, Jose, who is fluent in Spanish, worked for three years at Community Coalition, a South Los Angeles based non-profit that specializes in policy work.
