Partner Keri Curtis Axel has been profiled by the Daily Journal as one of the “Top Women Lawyers” in California for 2026. In a special issue, the DJ profiled Keri’s recent work—including her representation of crypto developer Roman Storm and former LA Dodgers star Yasiel Puig in two federal jury trials—and her approach to practice.

Keri told the DJ that advice she received from trial lawyer Tom Nolan early on in her career has remained a lodestar when developing litigation strategies: “No matter how big and complicated your case is, it has to ‘fit in a box.’” Keri also discussed the relationships she builds with clients facing action from the government. “I’m often advising clients at what is one of the worst moments of their life,” she said. “I want my clients to feel like I’m carrying the weight of that so they don’t have to.”
