Chris Moses represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on those involving commercial mortgage, real estate disputes, trade secrets, products liability, and employment grievances and employer liability for tortious behavior by organizational officers. He is particularly skilled at motion practice, having drafted and argued a number of winning dispositive motions—including demurrers and motions for summary judgment—in both state and federal court. His experience also extends to interviewing experts, managing and responding to discovery, preparing for depositions, and formulating case analysis and strategy. In one recent high-profile employment liability dispute, Chris worked with a multi-firm team to prepare for trial by drafting motions in limine and analyzing witness depositions; the team’s efforts ultimately led to a favorable settlement for the client.

Chris has held a strong commitment to public interest work since law school. As a law student, he worked at the LA County Public Defender’s Office and the UCLA Voting Rights Project in addition to serving on the executive board of UCLA Law’s student-run El Centro legal clinics. Now, he maintains a robust pro bono practice focused on expungement, helping low-income clients clear their criminal records. He also represents undocumented clients in both immigration and family court.

Before joining Waymaker, Chris practiced commercial litigation in the Los Angeles office of a major international firm.
